The Certificate in Information Technology (IT) is designed to provide essential training to students, liberal arts graduates, as well as career changers and other professionals looking to enter the field of information technology. The selection of courses teaches and exposes the language of IT to those new to the field.
The departmental certificate application should be submitted before the drop/add period of the semester of completion. All courses must have been completed within 5 years of receipt of application with a “C-“ or higher. IT, CS, CIS, and SE majors may not earn this certificate. To earn a Certificate in Information Technology, participants must complete 12 hours from the following courses:
