Every year the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the worldwide largest professional association for Computer Scientists, invites student teams from universities all over the world to compete in solving the most challenging programming problems — the "International Collegiate Programming Contest" (ICPC).
Regional and domestic contests form the first steps towards the world final in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, early 2011.
As part of the Southeast Regional contest – covering the states of Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina – UWF will be one of three locations to host 25 teams on Saturday Nov. 6th 2010.
