Biography

Sandra Donaldson, MPA, MBA is the President/CEO of Donaldson Edge (D-Edge) Consulting. D-Edge Consulting strives to empower and educate by increasing the knowledge of health and social risks communities face. A native of Pensacola, FL., Sandra is a graduate of the University of West Florida (Bachelor of Arts, 2001), Troy University (Master of Public Administration, 2013) and Columbia Southern University (Master of Health Administration, 2016). With over 20 years of experience in the health care system, Sandra’s advocacy work includes educating community stakeholders, policymakers and the public about the challenges underserved families face and the importance of affordable health care. As a breast cancer survivor, Sandra understands the fight for equitable healthcare for all.

Sandra is a Florida Certified Community Health Worker training provider. The training program identifies Florida state-guided alternative approaches to equity opportunities and concepts to connect community leaders to their most valuable resources.

Sandra’s consulting efforts include working with HUD housing communities and building relationships with Pastoral leadership. Her diversity, equity and inclusion training partnerships include the Escambia-Pensacola Human Relations Commission and the Gulf Coast Diplomacy.

In her previous role as Chief Advocacy Officer for Community Health Northwest Florida, Sandra led the COVID vaccination education campaigns surrounding vaccination awareness and access. Campaigns included “Don’t Wait, Vaccinate,” a vaccination awareness and education campaign with local pastors and health systems leaders. Sandra served as the organization’s inaugural Diversity and Inclusion chair and advocated for the organization’s acceptance and Juneteenth holiday schedule.

Sandra is a six-year member of Impact 100, an organization of women committed to improving their community by providing substantial grants to nonprofit organizations in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Other board, committee and memberships include Dixon School of Arts and Sciences, Studer Community Institute Women in Leadership, Achieve Healthy Community Health Needs Assessment Task Force and the Gulf Coast Minority Chamber of Commerce. Sandra is a national and international speaker. Her recognitions include Inweekly’s Best Community Leader “Winner Up” (2022), University of West Florida Office of Equity and Inclusion's Trailblazer Award (2022), Power List State’s Most Powerful Players & Influencers Award (2022), CivicCon Equity Award (2021), EntreCon Community Vibrancy Award (2021) and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “Living the Dream” Award (2020). Sandra is also a published author recognized by the CDC. 

Sandra is the mother of two children, Chance (27) and Railen (25) and the proud Nana to her infant grandson, Kaiden.
