P. A. S. is an association of people of all ages who are interested in archaeology. We work closely with the Archaeology Institute of the University of West Florida and furnish volunteer workers for many of their projects. Volunteer opportunities exist in Terrestrial, Maritime and Laboratory fields. Everyone gets plenty of chances to help out in the dirt, dust, mud and muck of history.

We have about ninety members and average about forty members at our monthly meetings. A meeting consists of a little business, updates on what is being done in local archaeology, a presentation about archaeology, and a social period with refreshments. Each meeting runs about an hour and a half.

Annual dues are only $20 for families, $15 for individuals, $6 for students, and $200 for a lifetime membership. For this you get a monthly newsletter, a chance to meet some nice people, and the opportunity to get your hands dirty.

Volunteers are welcome at the following locations. No experience is necessary.
