Dean Nones received his B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg. He has worked on a Monongahela Indian Village site in Indiana, Pennsylvania as well as other prehistoric sites in Southwestern Pennsylvania. His interests are in the maritime aspects of the Spanish Colonial Period as well as Pensacola’s lumber industry. He is currently working on the second Emanuel Point shipwreck.
