Christine Mavrick received her B.S. in Anthropology from Illinois State University in December of 2000. Before coming to Pensacola in 2005, she spent three years teaching in Taiwan and Mexico. She participated in the excavation of a 14th-century southwestern pueblo in New Mexico and has dedicated much of her time at UWF to working on the Emanuel Point II project. She currently supervises the Archaeology Conservation Lab under Dr. John Bratten. Her thesis will concentrate on the conservation of wooden ecofacts recovered from Little Salt Spring in Sarasota County, Florida. Degree and Focus: Anthropology, Maritime.
