John Krebs graduated with a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of West Florida in 2009. His thesis focus is on ceramic sourcing from First Spanish Period settlements within modern day Escambia County, FL. His research focus include studies of culture contact, pottery technology, geomorphology, and geochemistry. Current projects include a study of the chemical and mineralogical makeup of clay deposits within Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties allowing for a fine-grained analysis of ceramic provenance.
