April A. Holmes received her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of West Florida. Her focus has been on Northwest Florida. She has worked on colonial archaeological projects and has experience on prehistoric sites. She also is interested in biological anthropology and has been involved in the collection of human skeletal data on both forensic and archaeological projects. She received the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award and is a two-time recipient of the Pensacola Archaeology Society Grant. April has presented papers at professional conferences and spoken at public lectures. She is currently teaching the Introduction to Biological Anthropology lab and is continuing analysis from a contract project in colonial downtown Pensacola.
