Judy Matthews

Biography

Judy Matthews is an instructor for the TeacherReady Online Certification Program, bringing twelve years of experience supporting students as they progress through the program. She is responsible for evaluating student work in Foundation Courses 3 and 4, overseeing the four field experience assignments in Intensive Lesson 5, and grading the Completion Log in Lesson 8. Her encouragement and timely feedback have helped aspiring educators around the world achieve their goal of teacher certification.

Judy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama and two Master of Arts degrees — one in Special Education and the other in Educational Leadership — from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Throughout her career, she served students in the Jefferson County School District and later as both a teacher and administrator in the Tarrant School District.

In retirement, Judy remains active in civic and community organizations, enjoys regular exercise, and cherishes time with her two grandchildren.
