Dr. Heather Chesman

Biography

Dr. Heather Chesman is a dedicated educator with 25 years of experience in the field of education. She has served as an instructional leader for much of her career, including more than nine years as English Department Head at both the junior high and high school levels.

Dr. Chesman earned her Bachelor of Arts from The University of Southern Mississippi in 1998 and her Master of Education from William Carey University in 2003. She achieved National Board Certification in Early Adolescence/English Language Arts in 2004 and renewed her certification in 2014. In addition, she earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from The University of Southern Mississippi, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.

For the past four years, Dr. Chesman has enjoyed supporting and mentoring future educators through her work with the TeacherReady program.
