Jenny Feysa

Biography

Jenny Feysa currently serves as the Director of Advising for the School of Education Advising Center. With more than 23.5 years of experience at the University of West Florida, she has served the campus community in numerous capacities, including as an academic advisor, communications coordinator, and office manager. Throughout her tenure, Jenny has focused on enhancing student success, streamlining institutional processes, and championing technological accessibility. Her extensive campus service includes previously serving as Chair of the campus-wide Academic Advising Training/Professional Development Workgroup, active membership in the Electronic & Information Technology Accessibility Advisory Group, and past participation in the 2016-17 LEAD (Staff Version) program. A dedicated advocate for the university community, Jenny is a two-time recipient of the Outstanding Staff Award, earning the honor from both the College of Education & Professional Studies in 2021-22 and the School of Education in 2024-2025. She serves as the current President of the Emerald Coast Academic Advising Network and regularly presents at professional conferences. Outside of her professional life, Jenny loves spending quality time with her family, learning about very old things, rooting for the Cowboys, watching movies, playing games, and doting on her mischievous cat, Loki.
