Courses & Requirements

Once all prerequisites are met, this certificate requires completion of the following courses with a C or better. Participants must secure a combined grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the course required by the certificate.

Prerequisites (3 credit hours)

Candidates are expected to have completed the equivalent of one of the following UWF courses:

GEB 5816 - MBA Foundations: Principles of Human Resources Management
MAN 3301 - Human Resources Management

MAN 5331 - Compensation and Benefits
MAN 5351 - Recruitment and Selection
MAN 6317 - Strategic Issues in Human Resources Management
MAN 5347 - Performance Management

To be considered for admission to the University of West Florida’s online Human Resources Management Certificate program, you must be admitted to the University as a graduate non-degree-seeking student.

How to Apply

Once accepted as a graduate non-degree-seeking student, students should contact the MBA department and speak to an advisor about course availability and scheduling. Then, new students should complete the online Graduate Certificate Declaration Form on MyUWF.

Tuition waivers cover up to 90% of the non-resident portion of your tuition and are available to non-Florida residents (including international students) admitted to online campus programs and registered for online courses in active pursuit of that degree or certificate. You must pay all other assessed tuition and fees. The renewal of Online Campus Out-of-State Tuition Waivers is not automatic. Residents of Alabama are eligible for Alabama Differential Tuition, a reduced out-of-state tuition rate. To verify residency status for tuition purposes, new undergraduate students should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and new graduate students should contact the Graduate School.
