Why Study Business Administration at UWF?
Research shows MBA graduates earn significantly more than those with only an undergraduate degree.
Our professors are full-time faculty with doctorates and extensive professional experience. You can pursue an MBA at the Pensacola campus or online; designed for students needing flexible schedules.
For on-campus students, we offer a graduate assistant program, grants, and Pace and merit scholarships.
What You Will Learn
Our MBA program will teach you how to synthesize complex information, develop and deliver professional presentations, integrate advanced ethical reasoning with business decisions and become a skilled business analyst.
Admission to the MBA program does not require an undergraduate business degree; a number of successful MBA graduates started the program with little to no previous business coursework. However, foundational proficiency in the major functional areas of business is required to be successful in the program. These foundational proficiencies can be completed quickly through accelerated courses.
Our MBA program provides both a general view of business and a specialized focus through the development of the MBA e-Portfolio.
With ten Areas of Emphasis from which to choose, the MBA Program prepares graduates for leadership positions in a variety of managerial and organizational settings. An MBA degree with an Area of Emphasis is a 36-semester hour program, while a General MBA is 33 semester hours.
Areas of emphasis include accounting, aviation economics, business analytics, cybersecurity management, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality and tourism leadership, human resources management, and supply chain logistics management.
UWF offers classes through various delivery methods, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online. Though UWF makes every effort to provide on-campus classes in face-to-face programs, there is a possibility that some classes will have limited availability and may be offered online only.
