Talent Catalyst Program
The Office of Workforce Development is pleased to offer the UWF Talent Catalyst program connecting undergraduates with part-time paid jobs.
Our Talent Catalyst program connects Northwest Florida employers with UWF undergraduate students, offering invaluable on-the-job training and essential professional skills development. Students benefit from paid part-time positions, targeted mentoring, and a comprehensive essential professional soft skills course, all within a vibrant learning community that enhances workforce readiness.
The program includes four key components:
- Paid Workforce Experience: We partner with local and regional employers to create part-time jobs, internships, and apprenticeships, with most positions being newly established.
- Essential Professional Soft Skills Course: We offer a course designed to develop crucial skills such as effective communication, teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Mentorship Program: In collaboration with our business partners, we connect students with industry professionals to boost career readiness, expand professional networks, and enhance practical skills.
- E-Portfolios: We help students create e-portfolios to showcase their skills, projects, experiences, and achievements, providing a comprehensive view of their capabilities and problem-solving abilities.
