Each year, those who have come to love the University of West Florida connect to reflect on its rich history and look ahead to its exciting future. The University’s profound transformation since its groundbreaking on April 16, 1965, is honored annually during Founders Week.
Founders Week is marked by a series of events that bring the UWF family together by welcoming alumni and visitors to UWF’s beautiful, 1,600-acre campus and spending time giving back to the community. We’re honoring the UWF story and the foundation for its future.
Founders Cup Challenge
UWF faculty, staff and student employees are invited to an exhilarating week filled with camaraderie, competition and community service as we celebrate UWF Founders Week 2024 with the first ever Founders Cup Challenge competition! From Monday, April 15, to Friday, April 19, be prepared for a thrilling lineup of events that will bring out the best in teamwork, strategy and service.

UWF’s Day of Giving returns on April 18
University of West Florida Argonauts and friends are invited to support the University of West Florida and its programs on UWF’s sixth annual Day of Giving scheduled for Thursday, April 18. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends will have the opportunity to invest in the University’s future during the 24-hour online fundraising initiative and social media event.
