Germany MBA
The Germany MBA Program is a partnership between the UWF Lewis Bear Jr. College of Business and the Transatlantik-Institut, Ludwigshafen, University of Business and Society.
The 18-month program is directed at university graduates from all academic fields who have at least two years of work experience. The academic degree Master of Business Administration (MBA) is awarded by the University of West Florida (UWF) and is accepted in Germany. The program is accredited by the International Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Management and leadership skills are developed and honed in courses such as Management and Organizational Behavior and Advanced Managerial Economics. At the end of the program, a capstone course, Strategic Management and Policy Formulation, concludes the MBA program by combining all business application functions within one final course. This final project session requires a 3-week stay on the campus of the University of West Florida in Pensacola.
Class sessions are face-to-face in Ludwigshafen (Germany) with two short-term study periods at the University of West Florida at the beginning and end of the program (2-3 weeks each). Significant industry research is integrated through ;four (4) separate portfolio paper projects. Small, interdisciplinary student groups work on projects throughout the program.
GMAT: Min. 450 points, TOEFL: Min. 79 points.
The lectures are given by professors from UWF. In order to prepare the participants for international, managerial challenges, all lectures are given in English only. As a result, the participants not only benefit from their MBA education, but they also improve their intercultural skills and global awareness by working closely with people from other cultures.
Conceived in 2002, this program graduated its first cohort of students in 2005. The Germany MBA program enjoys great success with a retention rate of more than 95%. Alumni from the program are employed by some of the largest multinational companies in the world including BASF, John Deere, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and SAP.
