Dr. James A. Mead’s research examines how emotion and memory influences consumer choice. Substantively, his work attempts to address variables of strategic importance, such as pricing, packaging, and presentation tactics.

Dr. Helena F. Allman's research interests include Marketing Strategy and International Business. She examines branding strategies, product line extensions and the impact on consumers’ decisions to purchase them.

Dr. Atadil conducts research that focuses on the decision-making behavior and attitudes of consumers, destination image formation, as well as the strategic management of organizations in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Dr. Alison Green teaches in the areas of human resources, education and organizational learning. Green also examines the value of certification in the hospitality industry and determines what skills employers expect from graduates of food-and-beverage hospitality programs.

Dr. Richard R. Hawkins, a Professor with a Ph.D. in Economics, has examined tax structures and related factors in both Florida and Georgia, including the rise of e-commerce and the growth of local-option sales taxes.

Dr. Bill Huth, a Distinguished University Professor at the University of West Florida, conducts marine-related economic research, including the continued development of artificial reefs and their place in fishery management.

Dr. Bob Kimball has written several books on marketing and sales. They include The American Marketing Association Handbook for Successful Selling, The Book on Management, and The Essence of Marketing. He’s also co-author of Selling in the New World of Business.

Cody Karl Reinhardt's research focuses on Urban, Regional, and Environmental fields. He particularly focuses on city to city migration patterns and networks in the U.S. and the impact of local environmental and housing policies on migration flow, energy service consumption, and national emissions.

Dr. Chenxiang “Charlie” Song is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Sports Management Program at UWF’s Department of Administration and Law.

Dr. Xuan V. Tran studies microeconomics and macroeconomics and consumer behavior psychology in hospitality and tourism. Tran’s research has examined economic effects on demand for luxury hotel rooms, hotel brand personality and service quality, and customers’ price sensitivity in upscale lodging.
