Biography
Dr. Alison Green brings over 25 years of hospitality industry expertise, spanning airlines, F&B operations, and corporate hotel leadership. She combines that expertise with 15 years in higher education, making her a transformative professor who seamlessly connects the "real world" of hospitality with academic excellence.
Since earning her Ph.D. in Organizational Learning and Instructional Technology from the University of New Mexico (2011), Dr. Green has become a recognized innovator specializing in hospitality and tourism workforce development. Her research focuses on hospitality culture, organizational learning, with cutting-edge applications, including AI integration, and creating engaging learning experiences that bridge the gap between academia and industry demands. Co-creator of the Hospitality Learners Model, her research directly impacts how the industry develops talent.
Leadership and Academic Excellence: As Associate Dean (2023), Dr. Green successfully led the College of Business through AACSB accreditation review. Her 15 years in higher education have been dedicated to transforming how institutions prepare students for hospitality careers. She connects academic rigor with real-world industry applications through innovative curriculum development and strategic alignment with evolving market needs.
