Biography
Tyler Fezzey is a Visiting Instructor of Business Administration at the University of West Florida. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Management at the University of Alabama, where she was named a Capstone Graduate Council Fellow and received several honors, including the Culverhouse College of Business Research Excellence Award and the University of Alabama Outstanding Service by a Graduate Student Award. Her research is supported by active grants from the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Hogan Assessment Systems (HAARP), and the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS).
Tyler's research centers on personality, interpersonal competition, and women in leadership. She has published in top academic journals such as Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Business Research, Group & Organization Management, and the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology. She has also contributed to multiple book chapters and international conference proceedings.
Committed to serving her academic community, Tyler has served as Chair of the Academy of Management Student Community and President of the University of Alabama’s Management Doctoral Student Association. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned her MBA from UWF and was a decorated NCAA athlete, recognized as both an All-American and Academic All-American in collegiate women’s volleyball.
Passionate about increasing access to quality education, Tyler is particularly interested in developing engaging approaches to online learning. Outside of academia, she enjoys playing competitive volleyball, exploring new coffee shops, visiting the beach, and browsing the Palafox Market.
