Biography
Dr. Lauren L. Rich teaches in the Department of Management and MIS.
She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Kennesaw State University. For her dissertation, Rich developed a measure of organizational culture and proposed a multi-level framework for studying the indirect influence of organizational culture on individual work behavior. She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelors of Science in Finance from the Florida State University.
Before transitioning her career into academia, Rich worked for eight years in the specialty chemicals industry for two global, integrative nylon manufacturers, Solutia Inc. and Ascend Performance Materials. During this time, she held several positions of increasing responsibility—working her way up to the Global Cash Manager of Ascend. Additionally, Rich worked extensively with SAP enterprise resource planning software where she developed several interface applications that were adopted by numerous U.S. manufacturing plants.
At UWF, Rich teaches courses in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management.
