Dr. Lisa Williams-Taylor

Biography

Dr. Lisa Williams-Taylor, Chief Executive Officer at Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, oversees a wide range of prevention and early intervention services that helped more than 154,000 Palm Beach County children and families last year through 680-plus programs, services, public awareness initiatives and outreach campaigns. A Palm Beach County resident since 2004, Dr. Williams-Taylor focuses her attention on policy issues and community advocacy that address racial and ethnic equity so all Palm Beach County children have the opportunity to grow up healthy, safe and strong.

Prior to becoming CEO, Dr. Williams-Taylor served as Chief Program Officer at the Council. She was responsible for research and evaluation, system and program performance, and program operations. She has extensive experience working with local, state and national policymakers to build evidence-based systems of care. Additionally, she is actively involved in numerous collective impact initiatives to ensure funders and governments work together for the good of the community.

Dr. Williams-Taylor is a Leadership Palm Beach County Class of 2017 and a Leadership Florida Class of 2020 graduate. She serves on several boards across the county, including United Way of Palm Beach County, Juvenile Justice Advisory Board, Community Alliance of Palm Beach County and Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County. She also is vice chair of the Florida Children’s Council, a statewide association.

Prior to focusing on early childhood intervention, she studied research and evaluation in the areas of education, addiction, mental health and criminal justice. Dr. Williams-Taylor holds master’s degrees in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Criminal Justice. She has written more than 25 publications.
