Biography

Dale Perkins is a Ph.D. student in the Intelligent Systems and Robotics program at UWF/IHMC and an electronics engineer with the U.S. Air Force. He has dual bachelor’s degrees in computer and electrical engineering and a master’s degree in systems engineering from the University of Florida. In his 17-year career with the Air Force, he has contributed to developing the Miniature Air Launch Decoy (MALD) and Small Diameter Bomb II (SDB II) weapons systems. As a recipient of the Department of Defense Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) scholarship, he is focusing his doctoral research on human-machine teaming and multi-agent systems under the guidance of Dr. Sevil Hakki and Dr. Matt Johnson. His family includes his wife and two children. They enjoy kayaking, swimming, camping, and hiking in state and national parks.
