Student Opportunities
Experience Engineering in Action
WAVE will give UWF students opportunities to apply what they learn to real-world challenges in watercraft, vessel engineering and marine technology. Through applied research, hands-on projects, industry engagement and specialized training, students can build practical skills and explore interests in research, design, manufacturing, robotics and emerging technologies while preparing for careers in a growing field.
Build experience in areas such as engineering design, simulation, testing, manufacturing and emerging technologies through hands-on projects and specialized training.
Work alongside UWF faculty and collaborators on applied research that addresses real-world challenges in maritime engineering and technology.
Gain exposure to the maritime industry and explore opportunities to work on engineering challenges informed by the needs of regional partners.
Apply engineering concepts through prototyping, fabrication, testing and other hands-on experiences that help move ideas toward real-world application.
Find Your Place at WAVE
WAVE is growing, and new opportunities will continue to develop as research projects, industry partnerships and workforce initiatives take shape.
