Florida SBDC celebrates 45 years of service helping small businesses

The Florida Small Business Development Center Network is celebrating 45 years of service helping small businesses grow and succeed. The network is sharing “45 Stories for 45 Years” using the hashtag #FloridaSBDC45 to share stories of small businesses, partners, and the greater community.

UWF graduate to pitch his business to ‘Shark Tank’ investors

University of West Florida alumnus Wenceslaus “Wen” Muenyi will showcase his company’s odor-resistant fabrics on the reality TV series “Shark Tank” on Feb. 12. Muenyi, who graduated from UWF in 2016 with a BSBA in Marketing, will try persuading the panel of investors to invest in his company, HercLéon, a line of products, including bed sheets and clothing items, that uses manufactured sustainable and odor-resistant materials.

UWF Night of Cyber 2021

Please join the UWF Center for Cybersecurity team and cybersecurity industry leaders for the 2021 UWF Night of Cyber on October 21st, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm CST.In recognition of Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week, this virtual event will include information on cybersecurity careers, UWF cybersecurity programs and activities, and the 2022 UWF Summer GenCyber camps for students and teachers. The UWF Cybersecurity Ambassadors will also share a presentation.Night of Cyber will also feature a career panel of industry leaders to offer insights and answer questions on how to get into and succeed in a cybersecurity career, and the evolving cybersecurity field. The mission of the College of Business Student Engagement and Advising (SEA) Center is to employ a learning-centered, collaborative approach between the advisor and student. This environment of mutual trust and responsibility facilitates personal growth, development, and timely progression toward educational goals.

The College of Business offers a limited number of undergraduate scholarships, graduate scholarships, assistantships and graduate tuition waivers. To apply, candidates must submit an application via the UWF Scholarship Portal app in MyUWF no later than May 31, prior to any fall semester. Awards are made for fall and spring semesters only.
