Forensic Studies

The Forensic Studies Minor supplements course work in majors related to criminal justice. It prepares students for careers in investigation as well as graduate study. Criminal Justice majors may not earn this minor.


Course Work

The Forensic Studies minor consists of a total of 15 semester hours. The course work is as follows (each course is 3 semester hours):

  • CCJ 3024: Criminal Justice Systems
  • CCJ 3654: Substance Abuse and the Offender
  • CCJ 4036: Behavioral Science and the Law
  • CJE 3674: Introduction to the Forensic Sciences

Choose ONE of the following:

  • CJE 4610: Criminal Investigation
  • PLA 4263: Evidence
