Forensic Studies

The Forensic Studies Minor supplements course work in majors related to criminal justice. It prepares students for careers in investigation as well as graduate study. Criminal Justice majors may not earn this minor.


Course Work

The Forensic Studies minor consists of a total of 15 semester hours. The course work is as follows (each course is 3 semester hours):

  • CCJ 3024: Criminal Justice System
  • CCJ 3651: Drugs, Crime, and Criminal Justice
  • CJE 3674: Introduction to the Forensic Sciences
  • CJE 4610: Criminal Investigation

Choose ONE of the following:

  • CJE 4613: Homicide
  • PLA 4309: Criminal Procedure
