Certificate of Competency in Financial Literacy

The Maygarden Center for Financial Liiteracy aims to help individuals improve their knowledge in financial literacy. The center offers a variety of services and learning opportunities. individuals that attend a number of the Maygarden Center for Financial Literacy’s events and complete individually assigned computer-based instruction modules will receive an achievement certificate. 

In order to receive the Maygarden certificate of competency, individuals must complete the following:

• Attend 1 Financial Bootcamp offered by the College of Business at University of West Florida.
• Attend 2 Financial Literacy seminars offered by the Maygarden Center for Financial Literacy.
• Attend 1 Workshop offered by the Maygarden Center for Financial Literacy.
• Complete a specific number of computer-based instruction modules*. 

*Number of computer-based instruction modules is determined by the center’s certified credit counselors for each individual (based on level of financial literacy knowledge).
