2018 CAE Regional Resource Center Southeast Cybersecurity Conference (SECC)

Conference Information:

The 2018 CAE Southeast Cybersecurity Conference (SECC), hosted by the CAE Regional Resource Center (CRRC), will help build a vibrant, collaborative CAE Cybersecurity Community in the Southeast and enhance collaboration opportunities. The conference is geared toward faculty from all institutions across the US that are CAE designated or interested in applying for CAE designation.

As the CAE Regional Resource Center for the Southeast U.S., UWF in collaboration with the NSA CAE Program office, aims to advance cyber defense education among colleges and universities in the Southeast and support all institutions that are CAE designated or interested in applying for CAE designation.

Conference Topics:

  • Faculty professional development sessions on cybersecurity topics (course and program development, emerging topics, etc.)
  • Collaboration and networking sessions (collaborations on education, research, outreach, etc.)
  • CAE application process and criteria
  • CAE program knowledge unit mapping

Group rates will be offered at $121.00 single or double occupancy, plus applicable state and local taxes (currently 12.5%). 

Travel Funding: 

All travel funds have been awarded at this time.

Limited travel stipends are available to support session facilitators and faculty participants from CAE designated institutions in the Southeast US (AL, FL, GA, MS, SC, and PR). In order to receive a stipend, you must register and be approved by the organizers. In order to be eligible for reimbursement or a travel stipend, attendees must participate in the full conference, not be receiving travel support from any other source, and complete all required travel reimbursement/stipend forms. If you are approved for a travel stipend, you will be notified.

The conference is coordinated and funded by the NSA/DHS National Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) Regional Resource Center (CRRC) at the University of West Florida.

Please complete the registration form to register and request travel funds. There is no registration fee. Registration and travel stipends are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
