International Fellowships and Funding Opportunities

Explore the fellowships and funding opportunities available to you. These programs offer the opportunity to have a fully-funded experience to enhance your degree or pursue a postgraduate degree. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program expands perspectives through academic and professional advancement and cross-cultural dialogue. Fulbright creates connections in a complex and changing world. In partnership with more than 140 countries worldwide, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers unparalleled opportunities in all academic disciplines to passionate and accomplished graduating college seniors, graduate students, and young professionals from all backgrounds. Program participants pursue graduate study, conduct research, or teach English abroad.

The Rhodes Scholarship is the oldest and perhaps most prestigious international scholarship programme, enabling outstanding young people from around the world to study at the University of Oxford.

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a competitive study abroad scholarship for U.S. undergraduate students receiving the Federal Pell Grant.

The Boren Awards for International Study provides undergraduate and graduate students program funding for intensive language, culture, and area studies in places determined to be of critical U.S. interest.

The Churchill Scholarship and Kanders Churchill Scholarship provide funding to American students for a year of Master’s study at the University of Cambridge, based at Churchill College. The program was set up at the request of Sir Winston Churchill in order to fulfill his vision of US–UK scientific exchange with the goal of advancing science and technology on both sides of the Atlantic, helping to ensure our future prosperity and security.

The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is a summer study abroad opportunity for American college and university students to learn languages essential to America’s engagement with the world.

The German Academic Exchange Service, or DAAD, was founded in 1925 and is the largest German support organization in the field of international academic cooperation.
