Licensing

Collegiate Licensing Company monitors the sale of all UWF branded items, provides the ability for representatives from the University to monitor the use of the logos and graphics for review/approval, ensures vendors have the appropriate insurance and helps market our products to retail outlets.

The following types of licenses are available for University logos through CLC:

• Standard: Manufacturers producing products for resale to the general public that feature the UWF name or any of the UWF logos/marks must obtain a standard license. Vendors should register for a license through CLC before producing or selling merchandise. UWF receives income from these royalty-producing items.
• Internal: Manufacturers producing items for internal promotional use or giveaways that feature any of the UWF logos/marks, must obtain a restricted license from CLC before facilitating orders for these goods. UWF does not receive royalty income from these items, but since these items can migrate off of campus they must remain in compliance with all graphic standards outlined in the brand portal.
• Cobranded: Manufacturers may use their company logo along with UWF logos on items. UWF does not receive royalty income from these items, but since these items can migrate off of campus they must remain in compliance with all graphic standards outlined in the brand portal.

Vendors should visit the Collegiate Licensing Company website and select the "Get Licensed" tab to apply for a license. The CLC contact for businesses interested in becoming licensed to produce UWF merchandise is licensing@clc.com or 770.956.0520. Vendors will have access to the UWF licensed marks after they have completed the licensing registration process. Please keep in mind that a licensed vendor should be used at all times. Artwork for all items, whether purchased for resale or internal use, must be submitted by the licensed vendor to CLC for approval prior to distribution. UWF community seeking vendors who are licensed with UWF will find current lists on the Shop UWF Official Gear webpage. UWF departments placing orders from licensed vendors should plan to allow time for the approval process, normally one to two days.

• To search for a specific product: Enter the institution name as "West Florida, University of" first, then enter the product for which you are looking.
• To see a list of all vendors with internal vendors noted: Enter the institution name as "West Florida, University of" first and leave the Product Search blank.
