Biography

Dr. Edward Ranelli is a professor and Dean Emeritus of the University of West Florida College of Business.

He returned to the University in 2000 and served as dean of the College of Business until 2013. During his tenure, Ranelli upheld the mission of the College to provide a high quality, student-oriented, educational experience to undergraduate and graduate students to prepare them for success in business and society, as well as to contribute to the advancement of the educational and economic development of Northwest Florida.

Ranelli previously served as vice president for the Baptist Health Care Corporation. He has been a member of the Downtown Rotary since 2000 and serves on the CROP Business Ethics committee. He has served on the board of directors of Baptist Health Ventures, Coastal Bank & Trust, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of West Florida, Children’s Home Society, ARC Gateway, Pensacola Chamber of Commerce, Health First Network, and United Way of Escambia County.

Ranelli received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Alabama.
