The staff of the Kugelman Honors Program serve as dedicated Honors advisors to students in the program.
Advising and Honors
Honors advisors are available to all students in the Kugelman Honors Program to discuss Honors-related advising concerns. Students will see First Year Advising or major/minor advisors. A student's academic advisor can be verified in Navigate.
Advising and Registration Basics
- Check your e-mail daily. E-mail is the primary way advisors, and other representatives of the university, will communicate with you. If you are not checking your UWF e-mail account regularly, you run the risk of missing time-sensitive messages.
- Schedule advising appointments through Navigate. If you need to schedule a time to meet with an Honors advisor, navigate to Navigate in MyUWF, select General Advising for your reason, select Pace Hall as a location, and pick any Honors advisor. You will sometimes receive an e-mail via Navigate containing a link for you to set up an appointment.
- Honors students have Advance Registration privileges. To take advantage of Advance Registration, Honors students should make their advising appointments early and often.
Be sure to bookmark this Student Registration page, which provides information about all things Registration-related. The university's Academic Calendar is also an important resource to consult. If you need more assistance scheduling appointments please review this guide in Confluence.
Probation, Termination, and Reinstatement
All students in the Kugelman Honors Program must maintain a 3.0 G.P.A. at UWF.
Failure to meet this requirement will result in being placed on probation in the Honors Program. If an Honors student fails to achieve a 3.0 G.P.A. for two consecutive semesters, the student will become academically ineligible to be a member of the Honors Program. Students who do not complete an Honors course for two consecutive semesters (not including summer semester) will be terminated for non-participation.
Students who have become academically ineligible can apply for reinstatement to the University Honors Program once their G.P.A. exceeds 3.0 by submitting a petition for reinstatement to the Honors Director.
