Biography

Kelly Aeppli-Campbell is a three-time UWF alumna and currently serves as an adjunct instructor and Assistant Director of Field Placement.

Prior to coming to UWF as the Assistant Director of Field Placement, Kelly Aeppli-Campbell spent almost 25 years in Escambia County School District. She was an elementary school teacher in some of the highest poverty schools in the area. After going back to school to work on her specialist in reading, Kelly left the classroom to become a teacher on special assignment for elementary reading. In this capacity, she worked with teachers in all 35 elementary schools. A few years later, she became the supervisor for K-12 English Language Arts which allowed her to work with teachers and principals of all 60 schools in the district. As the supervisor of ELA, Kelly interpreted the law for the district, supervised several initiatives, oversaw a 2.1 million dollar budget, provided professional development and support to teachers and administrators in differentiated accountability status, and managed and evaluated teachers on special assignment and literacy coaches.

In the fall of 2014, Kelly began working with Dr. Susan James to bring the Emerald Coast Writing Project to Escambia County School District. She is now the Co-Director of the ECWP of UWF.
