Veterans Week
UWF Veterans Week - Nov. 4-9
UWF's Military and Veterans Resource Center invites all students and the general public to celebrate Veterans Week 2024 from Nov. 4-9 in honor of our student and local veterans. Be sure to RSVP to join us for our annual Veterans Day observance on Wednesday, Nov. 6, and check out other ways you can honor veterans and service members throughout the week!

Veterans Week Observance
Wednesday, Nov. 6
11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Join us in the Commons Conference Center to honor our student and local veterans! This event will include:
- Colors presented by UWF's Army ROTC
- National anthem performance by UWF Singers
- Special guest speaker Col. Tim Moore, USAF (retired)
- Q&A about veterans
- Veterans from the Bureau of Fire, Arson, & Explosive Investigations
- Special display by the University Archives
- Catered buffet lunch
All are welcome. RSVP to let us know you'll be there!
Student Veterans
We invite UWF student veterans to share what being a veteran means to you. Tell us by completing the veteran student form, where you can share your thoughts and photos.
Veterans Day Observance Guest Speaker
Col. Tim Moore, USAF (retired), dedicated more than 35 years to public service as an Air Force test pilot and later as a foreign service officer with USAID. He holds a B.S. and M.A. in physics and an M.S. in National Resource Strategy. He is also a certified Senior Program Manager (FAC-P/PM) and a Contract Professional (FAC-C). Moore volunteers as an American Legion officer and president of the James L. Dozier Lee Coast Military Officers Association of America Chapter.
