The University of West Florida will target increases in enrollment to provide for a more vibrant campus experience and improve our resources base without eroding our commitment to an enriched personal experience for every student.

• 12,126 students at end of add/drop period, Fall 2011 - Reached goal of 12,000 one year early
  • New Freshman
    • Applications: 5,629, an increase of 20%
    • Enrolled: 1,463, an increase of 17%
      • In state: 1,343
      • Out of state: 120, 36% increase
    • 34% of class ethnically diverse, a 9 percent increase
    • Average high school grade point average: 3.48
    • Average SAT: 1,007
    • Average ACT: 22.75, higher than state of Florida average of 19

Recruit and Retain Quality Faculty & Staff

• Vice President for Administrative Services Matt Altier, hired July 1, 2011
• General Counsel Lee Gore, hired Oct. 17, 2011
• New faculty hired: 32

Fundraising

• Creating Great Futures Closing Celebration, raised more than $39.2 million
• Focusing on new initiatives (STEM, College of Business, Allied Health, Athletics)
• Gearing up for next comprehensive campaign, 50th Anniversary (2017)
