Research Interests: Dielectric and optical properties of liquid crystals, phase transitions, laser spectroscopy, nonlinear optics, physics education, physics simulations.

Student Research Project: My students are measuring the properties of liquid crystals. This project is being work on by Samuel Beck, Hannah Buchanan, Lance Daly, Darren North, and Giovanni Deluca.

Non-student related projects and grants: Teacher Institute for Physical Sciences - A Florida Department of Education grant to establish a web-based community of teachers of Physiccal Science in middle and high schools.

Hobbies: Listening to classical Indian music and Bollywood songs.
