The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) provides support for undergraduate scholarly activities. Here the term “research” represents creative activity outside the classroom and is broadly defined to encompass all disciplines. This activity involves faculty and student collaboration in original research that should result in some tangible product (i.e. publication, presentation, performance, or exhibition), but its most valuable contribution is the development of our students in ways not possible in traditional classroom settings.

The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) was established to inspire and sustain undergraduate student engagement in research and scholarly activities across all disciplines. The Office facilitates collaboration between students and faculty through funding and administrative support for undergraduate scholarly work. Undergraduate presentations are encouraged via the UWF student symposium and travel awards to national and regional conferences.
