Project Awards

Ready to fund your research? OUR Project Awards provide financial support to UWF undergraduate students undertaking original research and creative projects mentored by UWF faculty. Funding helps cover essential project expenses, specialized software, and supplies. Review current application cycles and bring your proposal to life. Cycle 1 Applications due September 14, 2026. To apply, log in to myUWF and search for "OUR Program Applications."

Then complete the Student Undergraduate Research Interest Form, and we will connect with you. This form is available for current and prospective UWF students wanting to learn more about undergraduate research.

After Receiving an OUR Project or Travel Award

NueroNauts Scholars Program

The NeuroNauts Scholars Program at the University of West Florida is an intensive, eight-week summer (paid) residency that immerses high school students in the world of neuroscience. This program bridges theoretical knowledge with hands-on laboratory research to foster the next generation of biomedical scientists. The program runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. from June 1 to July 24.
