Undergraduate Scholarship Application
The Department of Justice Studies has many scholarship opportunities for its students. Scholarship amount and availability vary by semester. Criminal Justice Transfer Scholarship for NWFSC to UWF Emerald Coast Students
The Department of Justice Studies is pleased to announce our newest scholarship opportunity for students: the Criminal Justice Transfer Scholarship. This scholarship is for Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) students who are transferring to the University of West Florida (UWF) Emerald Coast.
This scholarship, in the amount of $500, will be awarded to first–time NWFSC transfer students. Up to 10 scholarships will be awarded each fall and spring semester.
The following are criteria for the scholarship:
- Must apply, be accepted and transfer from NWFSC to UWF. To apply to UWF, please visit: uwf.edu/admissions/future_students/transfer
- Must have Criminal Justice listed as their major.
- Must register and complete at least 9 credit hours including at least one face-to-face Criminal Justice class at the Emerald Coast campus.
- Must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): fafsa.ed.gov
- Must complete and submit the required personal statement by the application deadline.
- Scholarship is renewable depending on academic standing and available funding.
The requirement for consideration for this scholarship is to prepare and submit a typed, 500 word statement describing why you believe you are deserving of this scholarship and how it will help you obtain your educational goals. Include your name, UWF student number and email address at the top of your personal statement.
