The Department of Justice Studies has many scholarship opportunities for its students. Scholarship amount and availability vary by semester. Awarded to undergraduate or graduate criminal justice majors. The award amount is $500 for Spring 2013. To apply, submit application and a two- to three-page, double-spaced essay that 1) defines what diversity means to you, 2) relates the importance of diversity to the criminal justice system, and 3) includes a well-rounded argument including, where appropriate, one’s own experience, empirical data, and theoretical perspectives. Include some scholarly citations, and submit the essay to Ms. Debbie Davis (ddavis4@uwf.edu).
