Institutional Research and Effectiveness Support (IRES) organizes and analyzes institutional and other data to support planning, assessment and decision-making at The University of West Florida. While reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer, the responsibilities of IRES are college-wide. IRES has the major responsibility for compiling and filing reports required by the Florida Board of Governors, Princeton Review, US News, Delaware Studies, and other state and federal agencies.
Some of the many objectives of this office are:
- To perform assessments through online surveys and provide opportunities for improvement to the university community;
- To meet, on time and with accurate information, the external reporting requirements of the state and federal governments;
- To organize, maintain, and disseminate institutional data for decision-making, program review, and accreditation;
- To analyze and interpret or to assist in the analysis and interpretation of data, as appropriate, providing useful information for planning, assessment and decision-making;
- To develop and disseminate information regarding best practices for measuring and improving student learning;
- To provide information and support to units in their efforts to measure and improve student learning outcomes.
