Start with the FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid has been revised for 2024-2025 as a result of the FAFSA Simplification Act. The 2024-2025 FAFSA will open by Dec. 31, 2023. To learn more, visit our FAFSA Changes page.

Current Students

Eligible students continuing to attend UWF for Spring or Summer 2024 should complete the 2023-2024 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) if they have not already done so.

Students who will attend in Fall 2024 should also complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA. It is set to open by Dec. 31, 2023.

New Students

For students starting Spring or Summer 2024, complete the 2023-2024 FAFSA and all requirements as soon as possible.

For students starting Fall 2024, complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA by the designated priority date for the strongest aid consideration. The new FAFSA will open by Dec. 31, 2023.

Why You Should Complete the FAFSA

  • Tuition coverage through our Argo 30 Guarantee (Florida-resident new students).
  • Scholarships that may require the FAFSA.
