We understand that safety is extremely important. Some of us are parents too. In fact, some of our own children are enrolled in UWF’s Explore Summer Camps. From FirstAid and CPR training to in-depth staff background checks, we will ensure the safety of your child while attending our camps!
We have a secure check-in and check-out system for our day campers. This is based on who you have identified as allowable to pick up your child. Our counselors check for proper identification to match the written authorization on file.
All our counselors carry cell phones and can easily be reached at any time by the camp director.
Campers are supervised at all times. We use the “buddy system” to ensure your child’s safety, even during a bathroom break.
In addition to our stringent background checks, our counselors use the common sense, no “one-on-one” rule. Your child will never be left alone with only one adult.
All our staff goes through a risk management and emergency procedure prior to camp.
