Description:

• 1-week camp for 1st-6th graders
• Learn the role of forensic science in criminal investigations
• Conduct experiments to crack open cases
• Use your knowledge and creative thinking skills so solve the case
• Analyze fingerprints, simulated blood, fiber, hair, imprint and document evidence

Don't worry, you will not be assigned to a desk job. Instead, you will have a chance to practice Jr. forensic science. So, dust off your magnifying glass and get ready to explore and examine the world of criminal science!

2010 Mystery: The Case of the Lost Skull

Students we need your help! Somewhere outside, a person or persons unknown have left an animal skull stuffed with cash! Next to it, a shoe print and other traces of their passing
are scattered around the area. We need your help to identify who left the skull here! Join us for a week as we solve this case.

Parents:

This camp is kid-friendly as the students will be doing science-based-higher level of thinking activities as they solve a mock kid-friendly crime scene. For example, during summer 2008, the students investigated teeth marks on gum; analyzed their own shoe prints; conducted an autopsy of Mr. Pickle (a real pickle). We promise your kids will have a ton of fun!!
