Description
- 1 week program-7th-12th graders
- Work in a college biology lab
- Investigate mock evidence to solve the mystery
- Learn how the human skeleton tells a story of the victim's injuries
- Answer the questions...
- Male or female? How old the human is? How tall? How they were injured?
- Learn how insects tell a story
- Observe and collect insects in the field, look at them under the microscope to figure out the victim's story
- Students will observe a range of decomposition (using story bought Cornish Hens) to investigate the story the insects reveal.
- Spend a day excavating a mock crime scene.
- Work in teams to..
- Collect the data
- Complete an organized search to locate evidence, process evidence, analyze evidence
- Present report to other groups
Afternoon Adventure:
For around $35.00 a week, your child can join us in "Afternoon Adventure" after your full day summer program's activities are over at 3:00 P.M.. Afternoon Adventure is an extended care option where participants are actively engaged until 5:30 P.M. This is great for parents who are unable to get away from the office for regular pick-up time at 3:00 P.M. Register for Afternoon Adventures here.
