Our young engineers will explore and see firsthand "real" robots used on the collegiate level. Our campers will also get the very basic principle of robots and how to build one. By the end of the week, each camper will take home his/her very own robot. Through their week stay, our young engineers will be exploring mars and how robots are used to do just that.
Robot Elementary Directions: Click here for the assembly instructions. If you have any questions regarding this kit, feel free to email explorecamps@uwf.edu.
Our middle school engineers will get an in-depth look at how to construct and collaboratively work with robots. Middle school engineers will be working with UWF Engineering Instructors as they program and implement a 2 sensor robot. By the end of the week, each camper will have a completed robot to take home. In order to have a fully functional robot to take home, there is an additional piece you will need called a microprocessor chip which can purchase the week of camp for $25.00.
This robot will be used the following summer for Robotics Course 2.
Parents, family members and friends are invited to attend the last day of camp to see what our young engineers have created during their robotic stay. Please check with your camper's instructor to find out the time this showcase will begin.
The tuition and material fee is associated with materials, robotics kits (for each child), instructor fees, lab fees and program fees.
