ONLINE DUAL PRE-ADVISING GUIDE

 

Please adhere to the following steps to ensure the smoothest transition into our ONLINE Dual Exceptional Student Education (K-12) and Elementary Education/ESOL (K-6) Program.

 

STEP 1Have you been admitted to the University of West Florida? If not please visit the following link for admittance information, as well as the online admittance form. UWF Admissions Information

 

STEP 2If you are transferring with fewer than 60 credit hours or you have not completed a good portion of your lower level requirements, please then contact the University Advising Center for assistance (850-474-3170).  It is important to note that many of these lower level requirements may not be offered through us online and we can be contacted for some alternative routes. STEP 3Once admitted to UWF, you must apply to the Teacher Education Program.  Please print and complete the following forms:

            a.) Teacher Education Application

            b.) Dual Degree Plan

            c.) Out-of-State Notice (Out-of-state students only)

 

Then mail all Teacher Education forms to the following address:

STEP 4: Have you completed the Teacher Education admittance requirements?  If not visit the following link for information on Teacher Education admittance requirements:  Teacher Education Admittance Requirements .

 

STEP 5: Please go to the online advising website or visit our Teacher Education Student Services Office during walk-in advising hours:

Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 11:00 or 1:15 - 3:30.
