UWF, PJC, & Woodham High
Pensacola Junior College (PJC) in collaboration with the Woodham High School Teacher Education Academy (Escambia County) and the University of West Florida (UWF) College of Professional Studies has constructed a two plus two plus two (2+2+2) articulation agreement in which PJC agrees to offer lower division courses leading up to the UWF Bachelor of Arts in Education.
The program goal is to prepare students who wish to transfer into the Bachelor of Arts degree program in Teacher Education at the University of West Florida. The B.A. program in Teacher Education provides students with a solid foundation in the technical knowledge and skills necessary for a career in Education. The program will prepare students to become teachers in elementary settings. Candidates who successfully complete the Woodham High School teacher Education Academy program may be eligible for transfer to the junior year of the B.A. degree program in Teacher Education at UWF provided all university admission requirements have been met.
