The APD assists people who have developmental disabilities and their families to ensure the safety, well-being and self-sufficiency. The agency provides assistance to identify the needs of people with developmental disabilities and funding to purchase supports and services.

Council on Aging of West Florida
Council on Aging provides community based in-home services in an effort to enable the elderly to live a healthy, safe and relevantly independent life in their own familiar surroundings. Council on Aging of West Florida provides: Meals on Wheels, congregate meal sites and senior centers, Adult Day Health care and Alzheimer's respite care, information and referral services, and many others.
Covenant Hospice is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate ervices to patients and their loved ones during times of life-limiting illnesses. Since dying is a part of the normal process of life, the focus of Covenant Hospice is to enable our patients to live as fully and comfortably as possible, to assist patients' loved ones in coping with end-of-life issues and the eventual death of the patient, and to improve care for all patients at the end of their lives by example and education.
Department of Elder Affairs (State of Florida)

The Helpline is part of an information and referral network providing people with information, choices and opportunities. Its mission is to empower elders, their families and caregivers to make informed decisions about aging in place, in an elder-friendly environment, with serurity, purpose and dignity. FSU College of Medicine
At the Pensacola Regional Medical School Campus, faculty direct the students' rotations in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics-gynecology, geriatrics, psychiatry and emergency medicine. Additional community physicians serve as clerkship faculty in these and other clinical areas.

Naval Hospital Pensacola
Naval Hospital Pensacola aims to provide health protection to our troops and family centered care. Naval Hospital Pensacola earned the ‘best community hospital’ moniker during its tri-annual, national accreditation review Oct. 17-21, 2011 from surveyors from the Joint Commission. At the conclusion of the accreditation review, members of the Joint Commission coined the Naval Hospital as: “The best community hospital we have ever surveyed.”
Northwest Florida Area Agency on Aging
The Aging Resource Center (ARC) is the “one-stop shop” for community resources, links to government programs, information and referral, assistance with Medicaid and food stamp applications and eligibility determination for aged state and federal services. Long term care options, choice counseling and quality assurance is also a large part of the aging resource center.

Robert E. Mitchell Foundation
The Mitchell Center here at NAS Pensacola, Florida, has been conducting longitudinal studies on prisoners of war. The Mitchell Center is dedicated to documenting and determining long-term effects of war-time incarceration on U.S. military, civilian and contracted U.S. employees spanning nearly 40 years.
