Two Day Workshop Designed for Middle School Educators
Description: Sessions are designed to give you a fresh perspective on incorporating the Sunshine State Standards into your classroom. The highlights include an American Chemical Society “Inquiry Matters” half day workshop presented by K-8 staff from the ACS who have experience doing teacher professional development. Other sessions include: science literacy; exploring density and the states of matter; waves, sound and light. The lectures will be balanced with an opportunity to explore the concepts in the laboratory. The workshop will conclude with exciting demonstrations using readily available materials. You will be ready to go back to your classroom and encourage your students to investigate science.
