Dr. Melanie DiLoreto earned her Ph.D. in Educational Research, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment from the University of Southern Mississippi.  Her master’s degree was completed in school curriculum development and she earned an elementary education bachelor’s degree at the University of West Florida.  She is the Director of the Office of Assessment and Strategic Planning (OASP) and an instructor in the Department of Teacher Education and Educational Leadership (TEEL) at the University of West Florida.  Dr. DiLoreto specializes in program evaluation, accreditation planning, assessment, and applied statistics.  She is a methodologist that applies various statistical analyses to multiple disciplines.  Specifically, her research interests include the use of structural modeling with survey data, propensity score analysis, mediation and moderation, invariance testing, regression discontinuity, and instrument development.  She has experience as an evaluator and research collaborator on education projects in a variety of content areas.  Dr. DiLoreto teaches courses in assessment literacy, testing and measurement, advanced data analysis, and evaluating curricula and educational programs.
